Reishi is potent medicinal mushroom that has the potential to normalize stress response and increase your resistance to stress. It can offer support for those with chronic immune weakness by normalizing immune system. Additionally, it supports the liver and cardiovascular system.
Reishi is very tough and needs a long simmer to extract the medicinal properties. My favorite way to prepare reishi it is to simmer it with water in a pot on the stove for 3-4 hours to make a strong tea, or to make as the base of a stock or broth. It has a lovely rich and somewhat bitter flavor.
